Earlier this week, the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee held a hearing with Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
During the hearing, Congressman Neal Dunn (FL-02) asked Secretary Kennedy about his Department's commitment to studying mitochondrial health.
Secretary Kennedy stated that "mitochondrial dysfunction is the heart and soul of the chronic disease epidemic."
In January 2022, MitoSense entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to study MitoSense's now patented Mitochondria Organelle Transplantation (MOT™) technology for the ALS and other neurodegenerative disorders. The James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital also entered into an agreement with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) to study the MOT™ technology as an effective treatment for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
