MitoSense, Inc. is proud to announce its participation in the 2025 Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS), taking place August 4th to 7th, 2025 in Kissimmee, Florida. MHSRS is the Department of Defense’s premier scientific conference focused on the unique medical needs of the American warfighter.
Traumatic brain injuries (TBI) pose a significant and common concern for military personnel and veterans. TBIs can often lead to significant and long-lasting neurological damage, driven by mitochondrial dysfunction.
MitoSense has been collaborating with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), through the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, in developing prehospital therapeutic treatments for TBI utilizing MitoSense's recently-patented Mitochondrial Organelle Transplantation (MOT™) technology. The research aims to recover mitochondrial function and enhance neuroprotection following TBI. This has the potential to improve health outcomes for service members affected by TBI, a topic of paramount importance at the MHSRS.
Since attending at last year's MHSRS, MitoSense has acquired patent approvals in both the U.S. and Japan for its propietary MOT™ technology. Also in recent news, MitoSense's collaborative work with the the VA and WRAIR was highlighted in a recent U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee hearing with Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Attendees of the MHSRS are encouraged to visit MitoSense at booth 1106 to learn more about these groundbreaking advancements and to discuss potential collaborations.
